Powertrains
The powertrain and chassis expectations of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer is expected to follow the RAM 1500 truck. Buyers can select between V8 and V6 engines. Jeep's plan on the model is to have a plug-in hybrid powertrain, challenging models like the Land Rover Range Rover. The Grand Wagoneer will also boost a three semi-autonomous driving system with 48km or 30 miles of electric range. The rear and all-wheel drive setups are included in the menu to use them easily. Besides, the model has an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission to improve the vehicle's fuel economy.
The base model is expected to have a 3.6-liter V8 engine with the mild-hybrid system generating 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The V-8 will have a 5.7-liter Hemi engine with a 410 lbs feet of twist producing 395 horsepower. And, we suspect there to be a 3.8-liter V6 EcoDiesel to be an optional engine for the SUV with a 480 pound-feet of torque and a 260 horsepower.
The TRX trim is expected to have a supercharged engine of 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine available in the Dodge Hellcat models and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. It will generate a torque of 650 pound-feet producing 702 horsepower.
