What's New?

The Jeep Gladiator rolls into its third model year with some major updates that help it maintain its position as a standard-setter among midsize pickups. It seemed like a long wait, but the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 has finally arrived in the lineup. Boasting a best-in-class 442 pound-feet of torque, the new powerplant greatly enhances both acceleration and fuel efficiency.

Additionally, all trims can now option an upgraded Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system, and a grille-mounted off-roading camera is available on Overland models. Elsewhere, two unique trim levels join the lineup, the retro-inspired Willys and an 80th Anniversary Special Edition.

Part workhorse and part off-road machine, the new Jeep Gladiator is equipped to work hard during the week and conquer all kinds of terrain over the weekend. Under the hood, Gladiator finds its motivation in a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V-6 (285 horsepower, 260 pound-feet of torque) that's well suited to towing, hauling, or taking on the trails.

A standard six-speed manual or available eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the Command-Trac® Part-Time 4WD System with a 2.72:1 low range transfer case. A  4:1 Rock-Trac® Heavy-Duty Part-Time 4WD System comes standard on Rubicon and is available as an option on all other trims. Properly equipped, Gladiator can tow up to 7,650 pounds.

The Gladiator adds a burly 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 that generates 260 horsepower and a class-leading 442 pound-feet of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, it achieves an EPA-estimate 28 mpg on the highway.

Gladiator's available 7-inch (or available 8-inch) Uconnect infotainment system allows you to stay connected, entertained, and on the right track without losing focus on the road. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrate essential smartphone functions like hands-free calls and texts, streaming and stored media, maps and directions, weather info, traffic data, weather, and more.

Available Sirius XM Guardian allows you to conveniently connect to your Gladiator from wherever you have an internet connection. Using your smartphone, you can lock/unlock doors, start the engine, set climate controls, and send directions to the onboard navigation system.

The Jeep Gladiator can keep you and your loved ones safe. Standard on all models is a rearview camera that makes backing up easier than ever. Available for the Sport S and standard on the upper two trim levels are also several driver aids to boost your confidence even further. Highlights include a blind-spot monitor, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert. Further options are available on select trims. They include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

Trim Levels

Four great trim levels exist when it comes to the all-new Gladiator. The entry-level Sport is a great value, giving you standard features like skid plates and voice control capability. The next trim level up, called the Sport S, sees several upgrades, including alloy wheels and heated side mirrors. It also gets the ability to add several packages that are not available for the Sport model.

Many drivers will find they prefer the Overland model. This model gets many upgraded technology features added to its list of standard equipment. It is also where you will find a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, satellite radio, and more.

Finally, there is the Rubicon. This version of the Gladiator is a true off-roading beast. Exclusive for this trim are additions like rock rails, a sway bar, a brush guard, and front and rear locking differentials. Inside, the cloth upholstery is upgraded and ready for all of your adventures.

You also get Bluetooth as well as an eight-speaker sound system. Available for the Sport S trim and standard on higher models is a 7-inch touchscreen instead. These models also can simplify things in your life by adding smartphone integration through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Take the tech in your Gladiator to the next level with the available premium audio package. Included in this bundle of features is navigation, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and an upgraded Alpine audio system. It also will give you HD radio.
