2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is actually quite the workhorse and we here at Bayway Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM would love to show you why.  The standard Pacifica makes due with a 3.6-liter V6 and a 9-speed automatic, the Pacifica Hybrid ties an Atkinson-cycle V6 to an electric motor and a 16-kWh battery, and all those mechanics head up the front wheels through a trick transmission that operates very similar to a CVT.

You're just gonna need to see the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.

You’re just gonna need to see the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.

The green-themed technology of the Pacifica Hybrid makes for one amazingly efficient vehicle. The EPA estimates that the Pacifica Hybrid’s battery will give 33 miles of electric-only operation per charge, for a miles-per-gallon equivalent of 84 miles per gallon. If you can’t get it to a charge point, it’ll run like a traditional gas-electric hybrid and give about 32 mpg combined, or 10 mpg higher than the standard Pacifica’s combined ranking.

The 16kWh battery hides under the floor, where the Chrysler’s excellent Stow-N-Go seating previously hid the second-row seats. This means that the second-row captain’s chairs can no longer go into the floor, but with this much power and versatility, you won’t miss it. The Pacifica’s vacuum is also gone, because that’s where the charging cable hides when it isn’t being used.

The Pacifica Hybrid comes in the range-topping Limited trim, with Nappa leather seats, power sliding doors, and Chrysler’s custom Uconnect Theater rear-seat entertainment system. The Uconnect system through each Crysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM is all the rage for tech-heads and perfect to entertain the whole family for long trips.

There are two different packages to choose from when it comes to interior features: The long-termer packs the Hybrid Appearance Package, which features 18-inch alloy wheels (17s are standard) and a blacked-out exterior trim. There’s also a slightly more costly package that adds a surround-view camera system and adaptive cruise control if those are elements you’d want to add.

This van has already proved itself; even with Stow-N-Go missing, the Chrysler Pacifica is still a champ. It is spacious enough to afford room for an entire shoot’s worth of cameras and gear, or take the whole soccer team to the ice cream shop after their win. The battery power operates silently which means the van can be run in the background at any sporting event so you can tailgate without screaming at each other for another hot dog, too.

Come to Bayway today to check out the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid for yourself. This van is loaded with interior and exterior features that’ll be sure to blow your mind, carry your family in safety, and provide you with the technology and power you need and want.
